Misery loves Company: Daily seasickness report
Wednesday morning, Dec 23rd: it's calming even more and so now all of us are up and doing our science. The food and cooks have been amazing, making things to calm our stomaches but also things that taste amazing. Today promises to be calm (kinda) and sunny, so we are looking forward to a productive day of science. Its nice to see smiling faces?
Tuesday morning, 21st December: things have calmed a bit and so many more of us are up and about. The ships crew have been great about helping us with seasickness and the cooks have made lots of yummy foods that are easy on our stomaches, so that is helpful. Gotta go get some banana bread...
Hello, its Monday December 20th and most of us are still down-for-the-count battling against seasickness. The ship is along the edge of a nice regional high pressure zone, and that has resulted in high seas and strong winds. To a seasoned mariner the weather is probably pretty mild, but to us it has been a reminder that the Pacific Ocean isn't always passive. So we have continued our research, finishing up the geologic survey north of the Hawaian Islands, and we have two CTD casts under our belts, but enthusiasm is low as we all adjust and find our sea legs. Hopefully things will perk up later today.
