Get Involved

As a global leader in oceanographic research and education, the UW School of Oceanography is at the forefront of creating knowledge and understanding about the ocean through observation, theory, modeling, and technological innovation. With a focus on learning and discovery, the School equips students and researchers with the knowledge, scholarly methods, scientific tools, and communication skills to discover how the world’s oceans work and what we need to do to keep them healthy in a changing world.

Whether students, faculty, or postdocs are on campus or aboard our research vessels, the UW School of Oceanography community is accelerating innovative research and education to explore and connect people to the inner workings of the world’s oceans. By supporting the School of Oceanography, you can help foster advancements in the ocean sciences, create solutions to problems of societal relevance, and raise public awareness of the world’s marine environments.

The generosity of private donors is crucial in creating and sustaining opportunities that would not otherwise be possible.
