Christmas Cookie Time!
Tonight was cookie night, a night of tragedy.
At 7:30 pm the students went to the galley to decorate sugar cookies that the cooks baked. The cookies came in many forms related to Christmas. We had red, blue, and green frosting, multiple types of sprinkles, and even spaghetti, macaroni, and white chocolate chips to decorate with. It was fun seeing everyone’s creativity with the cookie decorating. Some notable creations were a replica of the Thompson, a sasquatch, zombies, and macaroni man. I was able to mix the three colors we had to make brown, gray, and light gray, as well as mash the sprinkles into a fine powder for decorating. Overall, we were able to fill up two large baking sheets with cookies. The cookies then had to be transported to a secure rack in the kitchen. I proceeded to take one of the trays to the kitchen, little did I know of the events that would transpire. I walked steadily through the hallway of the ship and through the dish room trying to keep my balance on the rocking ship. I stepped foot into the kitchen, end in sight. The wave came. The boat rocked. The tray fell. The cookies scattered across the kitchen floor. I dropped to my knees while a yell escaped my throat. The cookies have fallen.
In sorrow,
