Looking Forward to expanded collaboration in areas of climate change, and managing the impact of the same on health and environment.
Following the Vice-Chancellor’s visit to the University of Washington in October 2011, the University of Washington expressed a strong interest in expanding the existing collaboration to other areas of specialization, specifically in the area of climate change and global health, which culminated into the visit from January 25, 2012 and February 1, 2012.
LuAnne Thompson, Professor of Oceanography participated in the discussion sessions hosted by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (RPE), Prof. Lucy Irungu who expressed her enthusiasm and support for the interdisciplinary research collaboration.
