Thank you Kittie Tucker!

Kittie and Bob Tucker

Kittie Tucker has dedicated 26 years to our School of Oceanography family, coming to us from Grant & Contract Accounting to be our Manager in 1997, then promoting to Administrator in 2004; she will retire at the end of July.  Kittie has been an invaluable resource for the School since the advent of Workday in the summer of 2017, acting as a sounding board and a sympathetic ear and patiently helping all of us with our (still) endless questions and problems.

Upon her well-deserved retirement, Kittie and her husband Bob plan to kick off a summer of bike trips with the annual STP Seattle-to-Portland ride, 203 miles beginning at UW’s E1 parking lot and ending at Holladay Park in Portland. They’ll also do the Katy Trail in Missouri in October, as well as visits to Santa Fe and Utah to spend time with their daughter Maddie, who will continue her undergrad education at University of Utah as a junior this fall.

A heartfelt thank-you, Kittie, for your many kindnesses over the years—we will miss you!
