Forests on the coast
Full of plastic pollution
Supplies are destroyed

Polluting Mangroves
Wouri drowning in plastic 
Tropics in trouble 

Mangroves facing threats
due to rising sea level 
due to human acts.

A plastic coffin
Reminder of human waste
Suffocating Roots

Feeding our hunger
Mungo, Wouri, Dibamba
Choking on plastic

Collective failure
The Wouri Estuary
Mangroves in retreat

Polluting Mangroves

Tropics in trouble

Mangroves protect coasts
A rising ocean threatens
Waves and erosion.

Coast fills up with waste
Plastic drowns the mangrove trees
Litter in rivers

Plastics killing many
Mangroves. People dying from 
plastic not water. 

Food dwindling, plastic
rising, trees dropping, roots deep
in plastic garbage.

Plastic plastic all 
I see. Plastic food and trees.
Plastic I will be.
