Bachelor of Arts in Oceanography
The Bachelor of Arts degree in Oceanography shares the common foundational science and core courses with the Bachelor of Science degree, but there is no requirement to complete the senior thesis, and with fewer and more flexible upper division elective requirements. Students can use this flexibility to tailor their upper division work to complement their work in other fields, or their plans for post-graduate work or study.
Alumni with a BA in Oceanography can look forward to jobs such as an education specialist, outreach and education director or marine science programs coordinator.
