My research uses observations and models to understand the structure and dynamics of large-scale wind-driven and thermohaline circulation systems and their role in long-term climate variation, with a focus on the Pacific Ocean. I am particularly interested in the dynamics of subtropical gyres and the abyssal circulation (especially the role of hydrothermal/geothermal heat flux).
The PO Lunch seminar rotation list can be found here.
