As a member of this oceanographic expedition and class, you will be taking part in the installation of the first U.S. high-power and high-bandwidth regional cabled ocean observatory.

The biggest dam removal in U.S. history is underway on the Olympic Peninsula’s Elwha River, and major changes are happening in the marine enironment.

The class is focused on coastal ecosystems in a changing climate, and will provide students with experience studying coral reefs, mangrove forests, estuaries, and sea grass.

The Symposium offers a wonderful forum for students to gain experience presenting their work and to engage in scholarly discussion with peers and faculty.
