I'm Erfan, a passionate about the fascinating intersection of Acoustics and Machine Learning. Currently, I'm a PhD student at the University of Washington, where I'm delving into the world of Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) Technology in the oceans.

With expertise in programming languages such as Python and Matlab, I focus on leveraging DAS technology to benefit oceanic environments and unravel the mysteries of the ocean's depths.

In this dynamic field, the data is as vast as the ocean itself, and I thrive on tackling the challenges of working with big data, data processing, and advanced data analysis techniques. My goal is to unlock valuable insights from this sea of information, enabling innovative solutions for ocean-related applications.

My journey has been enriched by my MSc project, which has made me an expert in the intricate domains of vibrations in offshore structures and offshore wind turbines, structural analysis of offshore platforms, hydrodynamics, and wave theory. This knowledge allows me to bring a holistic perspective to my work, combining my acoustics expertise with a deep understanding of the structures and dynamics of the marine environment.
