What is your most memorable undergraduate experience in the School of Oceanography?
It is hard to name just one, but the VISIONS research cruises stand out to me! It had been a lifelong dream of mine to study hydrothermal vents, so being in the ROV control room while we collected samples from the vents at Axial Seamount was surreal. Being able to conduct my senior thesis research on samples we collected from those vents is an experience that has cemented my passion and resolve to continue pursuing my career in science, and is an experience I will never forget.
