Graduate - Funding
School of Oceanography students, who remain in good academic standing, are provided financial support, consisting of tuition, health insurance and a salary (currently averaging $2,600 per month) during six years of full-time study. (The salary is set by UW/UAW each year.) This support may come from a Graduate Research Assistantship that is an integral part of a research project or from a Teaching Assistantship. There are a variety of fellowships to which applicants may apply before coming to the School of Oceanography or during the first year.
